Car strikes front of Charleroi home
No injuries were reported in the incident in the area of First Street and Lincoln Avenue.
Charleroi volunteer firefighters responded to a crash Monday evening after a vehicle struck into the decorative wall of a house, continued through a neighboring yard and fled the scene before stalling out about three blocks down the road.
Fire Chief Robert Whiten Jr. said no one was hurt and the cause of the crash has not been determined.
Whiten said the car came around a bend, crashed into the front of the home, traveled through the yard of another property at First Street and Lincoln Avenue and continued for about three blocks before stopping at Fourth Street and Washington Avenue.
Whiten said the car was leaking oil after crashing into the wall outside the home, but no injuries or structural damage were reported.
The driver was arrested by Charleroi Regional Police.
