Robert H. Pennington – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Robert H. Pennington, 78, of Rostraver Township, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Louis C. and Vernona Buck Pennington, he was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., on Oct. 11, 1947. Formerly of Dormont, Robert had resided in Rostraver Township for the past 26 years and was a member of the Gospel Alliance Church. He was an engineer and worked for General Atomics, retiring in 2017. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include a daughter and sonin- law, Deborah and John Evans of State College; two sons, Robert John Pennington of Utah and Joseph Pennington of Rostraver; two sisters, Karen Pennington of Baldwin and Patricia Pennington of Canonsburg; and seven grandchildren, Blake Pennington, James Pennington, Andrew Evans, Brian Evans, Katherine Evans, Rebecca Pennington and Daniel Pennington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma A. Pennington, on Nov. 23, 2025. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www. FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory. com. A funeral service will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday with Pastor Alan Petke officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
