Jane Leyda – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Jane Leyda, 81, of Rostraver Township, died Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Born in North Charleroi on June 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann Lawrence Henry. Protestant by faith, Jane was retired from Mon Valley Hospital, where she worked in housekeeping. She loved traveling and spending time in Arizona with family. Jane loved to cook and bake for family and friends and she had an “open door” — anyone was welcome. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they loved her homemade pancakes! She is survived by daughters, P. J. (Dan) Brown of Tucson Ariz., Carrie (Phil) Morris of Rostraver and Pamela (Bill) Sokol of Rostraver; grandchildren, Ryan (Chrissy) Yates, Bradley (Caiti) Yates, Nicki (Richard) Wilson, Dara (Alex) Cagnon, Greg (Heather) Sokol and Rachel (Josh) Burkhardt ; great-grandchildren, Madison Yates, Kelsey Yates, Bentley Cagnon, Brinley Cagnon, Sophie Wilson, Henry Yates, Lucy Yates and Eli Burkhardt; and bonus grandchild, Zoe Lynch; brothers, William Henry, Wesley Henry and Ed Henry; sisters, Dolores Carlson and Irma Fretz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Leyda; daughter, Charlene Yates; brothers, Raymond Henry, Tom Henry and Harry Henry; and sister, Shirley Huchber.
