John Charles Pippert – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP John Charles Pippert, 96, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Jefferson Hospital. He was born April 2, 1930, in W e s t Newton, son of John M. and Lillian Bergman Pippert. John was a 1949 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of Fells United Methodist Church. He retired in 1993 from Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and often made gifts for his family and friends. He had a deep appreciation for the arts and classical music. John will be remembered as an incredibly intelligent and generous man with a great sense of humor. He is survived by two children, Diane (Lance) Sokol of Rostraver Township and David (Debra Williams) Pippert of Greensburg; and three grandchildren, Diana Sokol, Devlin and Courtlyn Pippert.
