Alan John Wilson – Lady Lake, Fla., formerly of Belle Vernon

LADY LAKE, FLA., FORMERLY OF BELLE VERNON Alan John Wilson, 66, of Lady Lake, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, The Vill ages, Fla. Alan was born on Sept. 13, 1959, in North Charleroi. He attended St. Sebastian Grade School in Belle Vernon and graduated in 1977 from Monongahela Valley Catholic High School in Monongahela. He went on to have several fulfilling jobs, including The Woods Schools, owner of a T-shirt business and a long career in self-storage at Storage USA and Lackland Self Storage. Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Karen Wilson; his cherished daughters, Emily Wilson and Sarah (Sean) Byrons; and his precious granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings, Jim (Sandy) Wilson, Elaine Wilson, Lynette Lucia, Thomas (Tina) Wilson and Marymartha (Michael) Becher; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Mollie Wilson; and brother-in-law, Anthony Lucia. In addition to spending time with his family, Alan loved all things Pittsburgh football, especially rooting on the Steelers. His tried and true answer to any question was: “How ’bout them Steelers.” He worked hard and played hard, had a strong faith and made an impact on his friends and coworkers. He did volunteer work to educate others about the importance of organ donation. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Sebastian Parish in Belle Vernon at 10 a.m. April 11, 2026, followed by the procession to Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora. A luncheon and celebration of life will follow at Foster House II in Belle Vernon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donate Life America, a cause close to Alan’s heart.
