McKeesport Area staff member put on leave after incident involving student

Area man faces multiple charges after domestic dispute

The McKeesport Area School District said one of its staff members has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into a reported incident involving a student.

The district released a letter to parents and the community on Tuesday, alerting them of the situation.

Superintendent Donald L. MacFann said the investigation is regarding a “report involving a staff member and a student.”

MacFann stated that the staff member has been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues. MacFann added that there was no threat to the safety of students and staff.

“Due to personnel and confidentiality considerations, the District is limited in the information that can be shared,” MacFann said. “We will continue to follow all appropriate policies and procedures throughout this process.”
