Student found with steak knife

The Ringgold School District announced Tuesday that a steak knife was discovered in the backpack of a student at Ringgold Middle School.

The incident occurred Tuesday morning during student arrival searches. Once the steak knife was found, it was taken into custody by a faculty member.

The student was escorted to the main office and Ringgold School District Police and principals were notified.

A statement from the district said the incident is being investigated by the administration and the Ringgold School District Police Department.
