Dr. Edgar C. Cordero – Bridgeville, formerly of Elizabeth Township

BRIDGEVILLE, FORMERLY OF ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP Dr. Edgar C. Cordero, 87, of Bridgeville, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026. Born Nov. 5, 1938, in San Carlos, Philippines, he was one of 11 children born to the late Eugenio and Adelina Cortazar Cordero. Edgar studied pre-med at The University of San Agustin and later attended The University of Santo Tomas for medical school. Edgar completed his four-year residency in general surgery and general practice at St. Paul’s Hospital in Ilo Ilo City, Philippines. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 to serve a oneyear internship at the former Columbia Hospital in Wilkinsburg, Pa. where he met his wife, Margie. Edgar’s
