Bonnie Faye Delasta Bednarski

Bonnie Faye Delasta Bednarski, 84, passed away on Feb. 28, 2026, at Westminster- Canterbury in Winchester, Va., She was born on Jan. 6, 1942, to Ferrel and Bertha Dallaglio Delasta in Charleroi, Pa. She graduated from Charleroi High School in 1959 and then attended business college. Her ability to master new skills and her organizational talents provided her the background for employment in government and the private sector. She married Theodore “Ted” Bednarski of Charleroi, Pa., in 1964, and they have enjoyed their last 61 years together. They have lived in Wilmington, Del., Chadds Ford, Pa., Travelers Rest, S.C. and Winchester, Va. Always on the move, Bonnie and Ted loved to stay active. As a couple, they skied, golfed, traveled, and hosted and visited their families often. Known for her love of gardening and plants, Bonnie could beautify any outdoor space with the magic of her pruning shears. She enjoyed volunteering her gardening skills in the communities she lived in, especially at Longwood Gardens, The Cliffs Valley and most recently, WestminsterCanterbury. Bonnie’s love for her Italian heritage was passed down through her cooking. Her children and grandchildren have fond memories of spending time with her in the kitchen, as she taught them her family favorite recipes, cappelletti and ravioli, waffle cookies, and nut rolls. She loved nothing more than gathering around the dinner table to share meals
