GIs console each other after an Iraqi Scud missile slammed into a U.S. military barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, on Feb. 25, 1991. The Iraqi missile was the first to cause death or injury among Americans. A memorial service is planned this morning at the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Hempfield in memory of the 13 members of the U.S. Army Reserve 14th Quartermaster Detachment who were killed 35 years ago in the Gulf War.
