Robert ‘Bob’ Dora – Finleyville, formerly of Elizabeth Township

FINLEYVILLE, PA., FORMERLY OF ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP Robert “Bob” Dora, a master storyteller and lifelong resident of the area, passed away on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026. He resided in Finleyville, Pa., and was formerly of Elizabeth Township, Pa. Bob was born in McKeesport, on July 15, 1952, a son of Joseph and Marie Julia Potersnak Dora. Bob is survived by his daughter, Whitney Dora; his nephew, Jason (Katie) Coulter and their daughter, Emma; and his significant other of 20 years, Debbie Reilley. He is also survived by his extended family: Nicole (William) Dosey, and Greg (Thea) Reilley and their daughter, Eliza. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joe Dora; and his sister, Karen Coulter. A 1970 graduate of Elizabeth Forward, Bob worked at Eastman Chemical Plant in Jefferson Hills. He belonged to Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge No. 526 in Elizabeth, McKeesport Sportsman’s Association and Finleyville Moose. Bob enjoyed flying in a P-51 Mustang, scuba diving or frequently testing the speed limits in one of his beloved sports cars. Whether he was relaxing on the beach with a cold drink in his hand or watching military aircraft videos at home, Bob lived by the motto: “Life is good today!” Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at STEPHEN D.
