AP Delsandro Memorial Fund provides more donations

Five local organizations were recently presented $500 donations from the AP Delsandro Veterans Memorial fund. The charitable organization recently rededicated the AP Delsandro Veterans Memorial after 10 years of fundraising and construction. The memorial is located near Sixth Street and Meldon Avenue in Donora. Shown accepting donations, from left, are Mark Pawelec of the Donora Historical Society, Donora fire Chief Patsy Vince, Ron Delsandro, representing the AP Delsandro Veterans Memorial Fund, Colby Perotta of the Donora Youth Baseball Association, and Debbe Davis and Janet Corbitt of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Donora. Missing from the photo is Mark Bizzell Boyer of the Donora Public Library. The 41st golf outing fundraiser for the memorial fund is set for Aug. 9 at Butler’s Golf Course in Elizabeth Township.
