Eunice M. Jasinski – Donora, formerly of Monongahela

DONORA, FORMERLY MONONGAHELA Private services were held for Eunice M. Jasinski, 100, of Donora and formerly Monongahela, who passed away in her home on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026. She was born on Nov. 15, 1925, in Brynmawr, Wales, daughter of the late Francis and Alice Sutherland Meats. As a teenager, Eunice worked at a munitions plant during World War II in the village of Usk. In 1946, she moved to the United States while working various jobs at Kays Cleaners in Charleroi and Donora, Sun Drug in Pittsburgh and at the former Monongahela Memorial Hospital while raising her family. She loved to dance, sing and found joy in listening to opera music and going to the theater. She always looked forward to spending time with her family, especially while traveling on vacation to Ocean City, Md. Eunice is survived by a son, Steve (Darlene) Gondos of Monongahela; three daughters, Karen (Paul) Gnora of Donora, Denise (Dave) Perchak of Donora and Shelly (Jay) Zembo of Monongahela; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Jasinski, who died May 18, 2024; and her sister, Sonia Kent. Eunices’s family would like to extend a special thank you to OSTPA and Amedisys Hospice and all her caregivers.
