Firefighters battle blaze at house in Monessen

Monessen firefighters battled a house fire on Pacific Boulevard just before 1 a.m. today. Westmoreland County 911 dispatchers were receiving multiple calls reporting the house fire and possible entrapment, but determined there was no one in the home, according to Monessen Fire Department No. 1.
Firefighters worked for over two hours at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Assisting Monessen No. 1 Fire Department were firefighters from Monessen VFD No. 2 (Hilltop),  North Belle Vernon, Charleroi, Bentleyville Fire-Rescue, Carroll Township, Rostraver Township, Collinsburg and Mon Valley EMS.
