Anna Mary ‘Dee Dee’ Frye – Carroll Township

CARROLL TOWNSHIP Anna Mary “Dee Dee” Frye, 88, entered into rest on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at The Resi dence at Hilltop, Carroll To w n ship. Dee Dee graduated from Monongahela High School in 1955 and Chatham College in 1959. After receiving a master’s degree from Case Western University, she taught Spanish for several years in Ohio. Dee Dee was socially active in the Monongahela community, especially at First United Methodist Church. Dee Dee will be remembered for her kind nature, healthy lifestyle, extraordinary memory and for being a prolific correspondent with family and friends. Dee Dee is survived by her sister, Faye Frye; and by several cousins. Preceding Dee Dee in death were her parents, Laurence and Mary Urli Frye; brother, Joseph Frye; and sister-in-law, Frances Pankiewicz Frye. Special thanks to all of Dee Dee’s caregivers at The Residence at Hilltop, VITAS Healthcare Hospice and all family and friends who encouraged her.
