George Roger Tobias – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP George Roger Tobias, 81, of Rostraver Township, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025. Born in Brownsville on June 13, 1944, he was the son of the late George and Olive Tobias. George was an industrial arts teacher in the McKeesport Area School District and retired in the early 2000s. He enjoyed walking in the mornings at the Mon Valley HealthPlex. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed watching and cheering for his granddaughters when they competed in their swim meets. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Brian) Yurkovich of Elizabeth; granddaughters, Hailey Yurkovich and Brooke Yurkovich; and his brother, John (Paula) Tobias of New Jersey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Delmastro Tobias. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome. com. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at noon. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
