NBV BUDGET CLARIFICATION

In a story that appeared in Wednesday’s print edition regarding North Belle Vernon’s budget, the reference to more than $170,000 in fire-related costs in the proposed 2026 budget reflected an aggregate of fire-related/public safety expenses, not the borough’s annual contribution. Those costs included insurance, hydrant fees and other operating expenses budgeted under Public Safety and Public Works, as well as the borough’s direct contribution to the fire department, which is $7,000.
