Monongahela Valley Chapter, DAR

The Monongahela Valley Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution held its Christmas luncheon meeting Dec. 13 at Hills Restaurant in New Eagle. Santa started the event by handing out gifts (little utensils with recipes). Vice Regent Leslie Yoder led the meeting. The president general’s message and the national defense report were read. Several committee chairs gave their monthly reports and $100 was donated to the City Mission’s Women’s Shelter in Washington, Pa. The Sarris Candy fundraiser was distributed.
