Rostraver Township Police held their annual “Santa Cop” event Thursday at the Rostraver Walmart. More than 100 people showed up to buy gifts from the wish lists of students in the Belle Vernon Area School District. Participants took tags off a Christmas tree, shopped for the items in the store and brought them to volunteers to have them wrapped. Some people brought monetary donations or toys of their own to the event, and every gift will wind up making Christmas brighter for BVA children.
