The South Allegheny School Board voted to maintain its current leadership for 2026.

During the board’s reorganization meeting this week, directors retained President Shawn DeVerse, Vice President Jason Ewing and Treasurer Sheri Campbell.

The board also approved key appointments for the year ahead:

• Maiello, Brungo & Maiello as district solicitor.

• The Mon Valley Independent and The Valley Mirror as the official district newspapers.

The board also swore in two new board members:

• Elaina Skiba, who works as the Glassport Borough manager. She is a South Allegheny graduate and a lifelong Glassport resident for more than 55 years, bringing extensive experience in day-to-day municipal operations and grant writing.

• Ed Stockett — A Mon Valley native and operator at U.S. Steel. His family has deep South Allegheny ties, with his wife Jennifer being both an SA graduate and teacher.

“We are grateful for the continued leadership of our board and excited to welcome new voices committed to serving the South Allegheny community,” the district said on its Facebook page.
