She is survived by her partner of 28 years, Thomas Bowen of Elizabeth Township; son, Jeffrey (Kelsey) Burke; and granddaughters, Josephine and Mabel Burke, all of Seven Fields; sister, Cathy (Warren) McLaughlin of Dallas, Texas; also, nieces, nephews, many beloved cousins, extended family and cherished lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Cheskawich. At Carolyn’s request, there will not be a viewing. Instead, the family will go to some of her favorite places to share a final visit with her. In lieu of gifts, donations may be made in her honor to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrf.org.
