Good Neighbors Grocery Dash helps local families
The SPHS Monessen Family Center (MFC) joined three other local teams, Little Things for Little People, Gate of Heaven COGIC and Orchard Christian Fellowship – for the TeamHumanity Good Neighbor Grocery Dash. The teams joined together at Monessen Foodland and sprinted a three-minute grocery dash to fill carts that went right back to the people they serve. “The friendly competition incited energy throughout the store and was a true celebration of kindness, teamwork, and giving back,” said Kim Egidi, MFC Director. Putting rivalries aside for something bigger, thanks to the local high school athletes who joined forces as “runners” for the event: Anthony DiCenzo (Belle Vernon Area), Ava Clark (Brownsville) and Monessen’s Torrence (TJ) Taylor, Tayvian Cragette, and Jakob Dell. The Monessen Family Center has items available and wants to make sure they reach families who need them most. Call 724-684-4370 for more information. Submitted
