DA’s office: Dive team search part of investigation into Rostraver homicide

Crews were looking for the murder weapon allegedly used to kill Jennah Seibert.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s office confirmed dive team members were looking for the weapon used in connection with the murder of Jennah Seibert in Rostraver Township.

Murrysville Medic One Dive Team members took multiple boats with sonar to search “areas of interest” on Friday. Elizabeth Volunteer firefighters also assisted.

The location of the search was not disclosed.

In a post on social media, crews said they were assisting the Westmoreland County district attorney’s office, Rostraver Township Police, and the FBI with an investigation.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to WTAE-TV that crews were looking for a murder weapon allegedly used to kill Seibert, 24.

Seibert was found shot in her Rostraver Township home back in April.

In May, Dorian Jeri-Green was arrested in Florida on unrelated burglary charges. He was later charged with homicide in connection with Seibert’s death. He’s since been extradited to Pennsylvania and is awaiting trial.

As of press time, it’s unclear whether investigators found the weapon during their search on Friday.
