First UM Church crafters and Belle Vernon Area Rotarians partner on project

The craft guild at the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon constructed table-top trees for the Belle Vernon Area Rotary to distribute to many of its Meals on Wheels participants. Parishioner Carole Chalfant spearheaded the project and provided the financial support. The Meals on Wheels Rotarians volunteered to deliver the trees the day after Thanksgiving. Shown, from left, are Rotarians Sam Cover and Ruth Habel, craft guild members Barb Hess, Carole Chalfant, Wendy Kennedy and Sandy Cover, and Rotarian Fred Exley. Missing from the photo are craft guild members Terry and Colby Shutterly. Several Rotarians fill the calendar days to deliver meals.
