Monessen High School Class of 1975 holds reunion

Monessen High School Class of 1975 recently celebrated its 50-year reunion at the Clubhouse Grille in Rostraver Township. The weekend began with a golf outing Friday morning at the Cedarbrook Golf Course. An ice breaker was held Friday evening at the Monessen Eagles for classmates and guests. On Saturday, classmates gathered for cocktails, buffet dinner, class photo and dancing. The Rev. Robert Holmes offered invocation, and classmate Wayne Vlasic conducted a brief program reminiscing of high school memories. A photo board and memorial table were displayed with photos from previous reunions. Classmates received a monogrammed glass and pens along with designer cookies as favors. Door prizes were also awarded. Classmates attended from California, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Committee members were Dee Dee Talarico Adams, Steve Beck, Valerie Mascetta Beck, Dave Belak, Pam Kowalski Bowen, Carol Ursinyi Katona, Bob Menzler, Marianne Billy Molnar, Debbie Zajack Mucy, Carol Baker Phillippi, Nancy Cieply Shepler, Cathy Veschio Taylor and Vlasic. Plans for a 70th class birthday party were discussed. Submitted
