Mary Elizabeth Schonhardt Rozzi – Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of McKeesport

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO., FORMERLY OF MCKEESPORT Mary Elizabeth Schonhardt Rozzi of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of McKeesport, passed away sur rounded by her family on Oct. 14, 2025, at age 85. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Giovanni Rozzi; her children, John Rozzi, William (Sharon) Rozzi, James (Leslie) Rozzi, and Michelle (Michael) Garland; her grandchildren, Marisa, Paul, Bernadette, Julia and Sarah; and her brother, William Schonhardt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Elizabeth Schonhardt; and her brother, James Schonhardt. Born on July 20, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mary was a 1957 graduate of McKeesport Area High School. She worked as a clerk in McKeesport Hospital’s Medical Records Department for 23 years. Mary lived a full and meaningful life. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle nature and fun spirit. Mary enjoyed going to casinos with Giovanni, spending time with friends at Italian-American social clubs, and most of all being with her children and grandchildren whom she cherished. She had a heart of gold and was truly a genuine person. A committal service will take place in the chapel of Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1443 Lincoln Highway, North Versailles, Pa., at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025.
