Halloween parades, trunk-or-treat events

Allegheny County

• Dravosburg — Annual children’s Halloween costume contest, 5 p.m. Oct. 31, Dravosburg Municipal Building. Call 412-466-5200 to preregister by Friday.

• Elizabeth Borough – 7 p.m. Oct. 27, lineup at 6:15 p.m.

• Elizabeth Township trunk-or-treat, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Elizabeth Township Municipal Building. No registration is required, except for those who want to give out candy from their cars, which can be done by calling 412-751-2880.

• Glassport — Trunk or treat will be held in the Borough Building parking lot on the Dollar General side of the building, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.

• McKeesport – 10 a.m. Saturday, Renzie Park, children’s party immediately following parade at the Blue Top Pavilion. McKeesport High School cheerleading, band, color guard and football team will host a trunk or treat 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Founders Hall parking lot.

• White Oak – A “Truckand- Treat and Trunk-or-Treat” event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church. Parade line up will begin at 11:30 a.m.

• Liberty Borough — Trunk or treat sponsored by the Liberty Boro Veterans Association, noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Liberty Boro Fire Hall.

• Lincoln Borough — Trunk or Treat at Lincoln Borough Fire Hall, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

• Pleasant Hills — Annual candy crawl, 6 p.m. Oct. 28, Mowry Park.

• West Mifflin Halloween event — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, hosted by West Mifflin Recreation and West Mifflin Borough, 525 Bettis Rd., West Mifflin. Children up to age 10 are invited to this annual Halloween celebration featuring a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and more. Refreshments and treat bags will be provided.

Fayette County

• Brownsville — 7 p.m. Saturday; lineup at 6:30 p.m. at South Brownsville Fire Hall; trunk or treat 7:30 p.m. at Snowden Square parking lot

• Perryopolis/Perry Township — 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Perryopolis Circle

• Fayette County annual Halloween parade in downtown Uniontown, 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Lineup begins at 5 p.m.

Washington County

• Allenport and Stockdale – 12:30 p.m. Saturday (lineup starts at noon at Railroad Street in Stroall Acres)

• Bentleyville – 1 p.m. Saturday; walkers can register between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Fox’s Pizza

• California — 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29, lineup 6 p.m. at the Brownsville Ambulance building

• Charleroi – 7 p.m. Oct. 29

• Donora — Donora Smog Committee Halloween Parade on Oct. 30, line up at 6 p.m. on Third Street in the Dollar General parking lot; parade starts at 6:30 p.m.

• Dunlevy — 2 p.m. Saturday, lineup 1:30 p.m. at municipal building parking lot

• Finleyville — 7 p.m. Oct. 27, lineup 6:30 p.m. Covers All Canvas parking lot

• Roscoe/Elco — 2 p.m. Saturday, (lineup starts at 1 p.m. at the Elco ballfield, with registration at the Elco Civic Center.)

• Speers – 5 p.m. Saturday, lineup at the Speers Methodist Church

Westmoreland County

• Monessen — Parade is 7 p.m. Oct. 30; lineup 6:30 p.m. at Eighth Street and Donner Avenue; 12th annual Monessen trunk or treat is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Monessen City Park walking track.

• North Belle Vernon – 1 p.m. Saturday; line up 12:30 p.m. at the corner of Short Street and Broad Avenue.

• Rostraver Township Halloween Hike at the DiVirgilio Sports Complex from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31.

• Smithton — Noon Saturday, lineup at Third and Center streets

• Sutersville — 4 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds

• West Newton — Parade 1 p.m.; lineup at West Newton Elementary School; Halloween party, 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Vine Street Park with live bands at the West Newton gym from 7 to 10 p.m.
