By By WAYNE STEWART For MVI Sports

Jim “Mouse” Chacko was one of Charleroi High School’s greatest athletes. A star of the Class of 1959, he was the first Parade basketball All-American from the WPIAL, an All-State performer, and an All-American in both football and basketball. He also took part in the East versus West Wigwam All-American game in Kansas and once led the WPIAL in basketball scoring, averaging roughly 27 points per game. His many achievements led to a quick induction into the Mid Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame.
