Allegheny County police departments are investigating a shooting near a busy business area that left one man dead in White Oak.

About 6 p.m. Sunday, White Oak police issued a “Be On The Lookout” alert for a vehicle connected to the shooting just before 3 p.m. near the Wendy’s on Jacks Run Road.

In a post on Facebook from the Elizabeth Township Police Department, White Oak officials issued the BOLO for a dark gray or black Chevrolet Silverado with a Pennsylvania license plate with the following number: HNL-9509.

The vehicle is said to have tinted windows with rain guards and beige running boards.

Police say the vehicle is believed to have been occupied by three to four men who were seen wearing face coverings.

Allegheny County police later said shots broke out in the intersection of Jacks Run Road and Lincoln Way.

They said a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Officials are advising residents that the individuals involved in the shooting may be armed with “long guns.” They are said to be considered armed and dangerous.

Multiple police officers could be seen blocking off the entrance and surrounding area of the Wendy’s to drivers and customers.

As of press time, no other details were released. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
