Four charged after bar fight

Four people were charged after allegedly taking part in a bar fight last month at a Monongahela establishment known as the Drunken Hippie.

Charges were filed against Andrew Armstrong, Jonathan Lexie, Craig Pieri Sowers and Jeremiah Demoss. The incident happened Sept. 20, and charges were filed Friday.

According to a criminal complaint, all four men and Demoss’s girlfriend, Adrianna Romero, walked into the Drunken Hippie, which is owned by Justin and Nancy Pusateri, and made their way to the outside deck portion of the bar. Once they made it to the outside deck, they confronted a male patron that was already there.

Authorities obtained surveillance footage that showed how the incident took place. According to the complaint, the fight started with visible yelling and grew into the group grabbing and pushing the patron into one of the corners of the outside deck.

As soon as the fight started, Romero fled back into the main inside section of the bar, according to the police complaint.

The group of men eventually let go of the man as the bar owners and other patrons escorted them back to the inside part of the bar and away from the deck.

While being escorted to the entrance of the bar, Lexie allegedly turned around and struck owner Nancy Pusateri in the neck before eventually being pushed out of the bar. The others followed right after.
