Conservatives have long complained about the “cancel culture” of the left — and they make a good point. Donald Trump and his allies were tossed off social media platforms like Twitter. Speakers straying from liberal orthodoxy were barred from college campuses or heckled when they appeared. DEI enforcers were everywhere, imposing rigid rules of thought and behavior.
