Mary Francis Polichak D’Amore – Rostraver Township
ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Mary Francis Polichak D’Amore, 94, of Rostraver Township, passed away peace fully at AHN Jefferson Hospital, sur rounded by those she loved. Born on Oct. 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Evana Roko Polichak. Mrs. D’Amore was a devout Catholic who was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver and worked for several years as a bookkeeper in Catholic school education for the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Her primary focus in life was her family, and she always looked forward to family dinners, holidays and always made it a point to treat her family on their birthdays. She was an avid traveler who went all over the United States with her husband Paul. Mary also enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and proudly kept a spotless home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger L. Francis, in 1969; and her second husband, Paul D’Amore, in 2006. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Roger (Patty) Francis, Jane Costa, Robert (Tanya) Francis, Carol (Charles) Covert, Frank D’Amore and Barbara Pollock; grandchildren, Robert B. Francis, Ryan (Julea) Francis, Paige Costa, Lea Francis, Valerie Mahoney, Shaun Covert and Jessica Pollock; and great-grandchildren, Cecelia, Anton and Dara. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second Street Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-3796900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. Services will be held Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. prayer service in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Donora site. Procession to and interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, will follow. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Donora Public Library, 510 Meldon Ave., Donora, PA 15033, in Mary’s name.
