Fugitive discovered in clothes dryer

Devonta Youngblood was sought on multiple warrants.

A Homewood man wanted on multiple warrants was taken into custody after being located hiding in a clothes dryer.

Devonta Youngblood, 32, was declared a fugitive three months ago when a bench warrant was issued after he violated his probation on a case involving a firearms charge. Additionally, Youngblood has an active arrest warrant out of West Mifflin for indecent exposure and open lewdness.

Late last week, Allegheny County detectives developed informa tion that Yo u n g blood was inside a residence along Corey Avenue in Braddock. Detectives arrived at the residence Saturday afternoon, and after speaking with a woman who identified herself as Youngblood’s girlfriend, they were given permission to search the residence.

Youngblood was subsequently found inside the dryer in the basement of the residence. He was arrested without further incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
