The Greensburg-based 14th Quartermaster Co. recently celebrated its post-annual training family day picnic at Spc. Anthony Eric Madison Sr. Veterans Memorial Park in Monessen. The unit continues to honor its lineage and the sacrifice made on Feb. 25, 1991, when 13 soldiers of the 14th Quartermaster Detachment were killed and 43 were wounded when an Iraqi Scud missile struck their barracks in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.
