Nicholas J. Pavlick – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Nicholas J. Pavlick, 75, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. Son of the late Nicholas and Mary Kotuba Pavlick, he was born in Pittsburgh on May 26, 1950. Nick was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 46 years. He was a very active and dedicated member of the Bible Chapel, Rostraver campus, and he loved sharing his faith and the joy it brought him with anyone he met. He graduated from the former California University of Pennsylvania with an elementary teaching degree in 1973, and in 1977, received another degree in environmental sciences. He worked at the Volkswagen plant in New Stanton for 10 years before he embarked on a second career as a physical therapist assistant at numerous facilities, retiring in 2016. Nick had a lifelong love of nature and spent as much time as he could outdoors, including biking, fishing, bow hunting, golfing and searching for Native American artifacts along the Youghiogheny while on hikes. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patty Houston Pavlick; a daughter and son in-law, Maggie and Bob Lindenberg of Pittsburgh; a sister and brother in-law, Mary Lou and Pat Curtin of Michigan; two sisters-inlaw, Marie (Ralph) Hirsch of Pittsburgh and Barbara (Dale) Day of Perryopolis; many nieces and nephews; and his English setter, Cody.
