100th birthday celebration for Liberty Borough resident

Evelyn Esack of Liberty Borough celebrated her 100th birthday on July 12. The Rev. Tom Burke, pastor of Saints Joachim and Anne Catholic Parish, Elizabeth/Glassport/Liberty Borough, visited her at her home and gave her flowers, a special blessing and Holy Communion. Evelyn spent the day with her family and friends with lunch and birthday cake. She is one of the founding members of the former St. Eugene Parish in Liberty Borough, now part of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish. Submitted
