Joan K. Smith – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Joan K. Smith, 94, of Rostraver Township, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born in Charleroi on March 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Wall Kissler. Joan was a teacher in the Belle Vernon Area School District. She attended Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver. She loved playing the organ at many churches in the area and was honored to play for many weddings. She loved to read and study the Bible, but most of all, she loved spending time with family. She is survived by her son, Craig R. (Caroline) Smith of Rostraver; daughter, Nancy S. (David) Hoffman of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. Rodney Smith; brothers, Thomas Kissler and Earl Kissler; and sisters, Ruth Fuller and Jean Peckyno.
