Driver injured in I-70 rollover crash

First responders were called to the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 70 Monday morning.

The crash occurred near the Lover exit around 9 a.m. Multiple reports were made to Washington 911 regarding the accident, which left one person trapped inside the car.

Fallowfield firefighters found a Mercedes flipped onto its roof with the driver trapped inside. Crews stabilized the car and began to work to extract the victim with help from Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services.

Charleroi Fire Department was called in for additional support.

According to Fallowfield Chief Anthony Fleming crews rescued the victim, who was not identified, within seven minutes.
