Top graduates named at Belle Vernon Area

Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for 7 p.m. today for 182 graduates.

Belle Vernon Area High School will hold its 2025 commencement 7 p.m. today at James Weir Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved indoors.

There are 182 graduates. Class of 2025 valedictorian is Gina Bellissimo. Salutatorian is Mia Zubovic.

Gina Bellissimo is the daughter of Dr. Brian Bellissimo and Dr. Suzanne Bellissimo of Rostraver Township.

She plans to attend Penn State University (main campus) to study nursing with future plans of being a nurse anesthetist.

Mia Zubovic is the daughter of Julie and Eric Zubovic of Belle Vernon.

She plans to attend Mercyhurst University to pursue a double major in accounting and finance, while also playing Division 1 softball.
