Despina J. Apostolakis – Monessen

Despina J. Apostolakis, 87, of Monessen, who was affectionally known as “Dessie,” died on May 23, 2025, in Magee Women’s Hospital. Born in Charleroi on April 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Pantelis and Irene Apostolides Apostolakis. She was a 1957 graduate of Monessen High School. Despina was a very active member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, serving with the choir, was president of GAPA for 10 years and was instrumental in forming the first St. Spyridon Bulletin.
