Michael S. Weight – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Michael S. Weight, 68, of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on Oct. 25, 1956, Michael was the son of the late Kenneth “Ken” and Catherine “Casey” Calcek Weight. Michael served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hiking, biking and just being outdoors. Michael was a DJ back in the day and loved Motown music. He also enjoyed dancing, attending numerous concerts with his wife, Angela, and they even had the chance to see and meet Aerosmith at one of their last performances. He was an avid Steelers fan and knew many players personally. Michael was a rebel at heart but was a kind-hearted, loving man who loved his family with all his heart. Surviving to cherish Michael’s memory are his loving wife, Angela Segiel; and his son, Corey B. Weight; his two brothers, Timothy Weight and Daniel (Christy) Weight; his nieces and nephew, Danielle (John) Talbot, Zach and Rachael (Aaron) Toth; great-nieces and great-nephews, Raegan, Logan and Adelynn; and numerous other relatives. In addition to his parents, Ken and Casey, Michael was preceded in death by his infant son, Steven Christopher Weight. A memorial service to celebrate Michael will be held at Mon Valley Memorial Park Chapel, 49 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025. Military honors will follow at the conclusion of the services. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.
