Open house held at Monessen No. 1 VFD

Monessen Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 hosted its second annual open house Saturday. The event provided an opportunity for local residents to stop by, learn how the station operates and meet their neighborhood heroes. The open house included walk throughs on the processes firefighters follow when responding to an emergency call, informational talks about fire department procedures and education and other activities.
