Taxes up 2.67% in West Mifflin Area budget
School board members pledged to keep working on the spending plan before a final vote is taken.
After some debate and a lengthy meeting, the West Mifflin Area school board approved a budget proposal Thursday with a 2.67% tax increase.
The tentative spending plan was approved in a 6-3 vote with board President Kevin Squires and directors Anthony DiCenzo, Judith Ahern, Matthew Blazevich, Mark Donahoe and Mark Yuhas supporting it. Gina Englert, Janelle Kopay and Joe Gajdos voted against the proposal....
