Celebrating the past and planting for the future

A group from Gerald McGrew’s government class from McKeesport Area High School attended the dedication of the Liberty Tree at Point State Park on May 6, 2025. In the years leading up to the American Revolution, large Liberty Trees were used as symbolic meeting places for “the Sons of Liberty” throughout the 13 colonies.
