The Pittsburgh Pirates having nosedived to 11 games under .500 in the first week of May could be seen as evidence enough of their campaign being irrevocably lost, at least looking at postseason aspirations.
However, if there’s any hope of the Pirates getting things back on track this year, it’ll have to start with a single win.
