Intense storm leaves trail of damage
Several trees were blown over, and power was knocked out in many parts of the Mon Valley.
A thunderstorm with extremely high winds left destruction in its path throughout the Mon Valley late Tuesday afternoon and knocked out power for many area residents.
The National Weather Service office at Pittsburgh International Airport recorded wind gusts up to 71.3 mph. Residents throughout the Mon Valley reported downed trees and loss of power after the storm.
