Elizabeth seeing fewer commercial trucks in downtown area

For months, the borough has been making an effort to reroute the vehicles back onto Route 51.

Elizabeth Borough has been successful in getting commercial trucks out of the downtown corridor after months of working on rerouting them.

This has been an issue in the borough for a while as big commercial trucks, which are sometimes not authorized, use Elizabeth Borough as a spot to turn back onto Route 51. They have caused some accidents involving parked cars and other issues.
