Eleanor M. Dziak Atkins – North Belle Vernon

Eleanor M. Dziak Atkins, 87, of North Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Mt. Macrina Manor in Uniontown surrounded by loved ones and the staff of workers at Mt. Macrina Manor. Born May 16, 1937, in Cokeburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Miller Dziak. A resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Atkins was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was retired from Duritza’s market in North Belle Vernon, where she worked as a deli clerk. Eleanor enjoyed needlepoint and playing bingo. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary T. and Vicki Atkins of Perryopolis; daughters, Debra Atkins McElfresh of North Belle Vernon and Karen Atkins Martin of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren, Jason, Missy, Tiffany, Chadd, Jenny and Amber; and 12 great grandchildren, Tyler, Alley, Zavier, Caleb, Dominic, Hannah, Taylor, Liam, Chris, Jade, Braelynn and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale T. Atkins; three brothers, Tommy Dziak, Fred Dziak and Andy Dziak; two sisters, Dorothy Dziak and Anna Mae Hormell; and infant twins. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-9296183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Vincent Concepcion as celebrant.
