Car slams into Monessen garage

Monessen firefighters responded to a car accident Thursday evening along Pacific Boulevard in Monessen. Municipal fire Chief Delmar Hepple said they received a call at 7:19 p.m. about a car that had driven over a hillside into the woods and crashed into a garage. There were two occupants, and Hepple said the passenger was transported by Mon Valley EMS to Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. The driver was evaluated for minor injuries.
