New Forward Township supervisor appointed

The vacancy board approved Amy Cline in a 2-1 vote.

Amy Cline has a new hat to wear in Forward Township — that of a township supervisor.

On Monday, Cline was selected over seven other interested residents in a 2-1 vote by the vacancy board to fill the term of former supervisor Dave Magiske, who resigned due to health reasons.

The vacancy board met ahead of Monday’s meeting to bring an end to an ongoing saga that began in November when Magiske first tried to resign. His term will expire Dec. 31....
